“Bring out the Barrel” El Dorado Winemakers Open Their Cellars for Barrel Tasting

More than 20 El Dorado wineries are opening their cellars during the weekend of January 30-31, inviting wine lovers of all levels to experience the nuances of a new vintage – by tasting wine samples straight from the barrel.  It’s a unique opportunity to talk with local vintners and follow the winemaking process from vine to barrel to bottle.
 
The weekend features wine tasting, light food pairings, and the opportunity to purchase “futures” of limited quantity wines.  

El Dorado’s family owned wineries are just an hour from Sacramento or South Lake Tahoe, and about 2 hours from the Bay Area.

Prices are as follows:
Weekend pass: $20 at www.ElDoradoWines.org  in advance; $25 after Jan 23.
Friends 4 pack: Buy 4 tickets for the price of 3.
Sunday only: $15 advance;  $20 after Jan 23.
Designated drivers: $5.
